Follow instructions on seed package for depth, spacing and thinning.

Using transplants? Follow instructions on plant ID tag. Dig a hole the depth of the plug (roots + soil) and gently remove plug from the container and place in hole.

Water only as needed. Ensure that the soil is moist but not saturated. Every few days, check the top inch of soil with your finger. If it feels dry, it is time to water.

Weeds will compete with your food plants. Remove small weeds and discard in the compost.

Each food plant has its own growing period and harvest time. Follow specific directions for each food crop.
